JORDAN HOLLYWOOD

Jordan Hollywood is poised for a breakthrough. He redefines music genre blending. The 25-year-old multi-versed rapper-singer-songwriter gained momentum through releasing music since 2011 as a teenager. Jordan is from Broward County –the same place that spawned a slew of new school rappers from Kodak Black, Smokepurpp, Lil Pump, and the late XXXTENTACION. Jordan gained footing in the industry earning himself writing credits for Jason Derulo, French Montana and more. He also spent time ghost writing verses for rappers.

“The culture is super diverse down here and just inspiring. I don’t think I’m ever gonna leave.” said Jordan on Broward County.
The nickname “Hollywood” was given to the then 12-year-old Jordan stemming from his childhood football team. His teammates pegged him Hollywood for his clean look and the name stuck with him.
Jordan didn’t have the typical experiences of a teenager. His struggle was different. He got kicked out of middle school and upon turning 13 he visited a music studio for the first time. He found his calling. At age 15, he convinced his mom to let him drop out of high school to pursue a career in music. He’d spend the rest of his adolescent years isolating himself making music.

“I never did the high school parties. I was in the studio every single day,” said Jordan, “The moment I first stepped into a studio I was over everything. All I wanted to do is make music and it hasn’t stopped since then.”
Jordan’s enigmatic sound is dark and meticulously crafted from life experiences. As he matured his sound did too. He went from releasing songs from the perspective of a carefree teenager to the perspective of an angst-ridden adult.
In 2015 Jordan met Jason Derulo and soon after Jordan moved out to LA to work on part of Jason’s album. Songwriting came naturally for him and word of his skills got out. He started to expand his circle working with more artists and learned to fine-tune his writing and production craft.

“In the studio I was working with Jason and his engineers and with French Montana I was working with his engineers,” said Jordan on working with artists, “I was learning the production side from being around all these different people.”
To complement his music, Jordan brings out-of-this-world creativity to play. Jordan’s raw perspective on visuals are unfiltered and unapologetically unnerving. They include Jordan drowning while being buried alive to pulling off a high-stakes heist robbing jewels to bringing the casino to West End Atlanta with strippers twerking on slot machines. He spends hours brainstorming for concepts with his “day one” video director, Christian Breslauer.
“We’ll sit down and say “Yo it’ll be crazy if we did a video like this” and then we’ll look through my catalog and we’ll listen to find what songs fit that idea,” said Jordan on creating his music videos.
The scope of his discography is vast. In 2014 he released his hit single “10 shots” featuring Yo Gotti, Tory Lanez, and Lil Durk. In 2015 he dropped “R.I.C.H. (Real.Intoxicated.Crazy.Hippies)” which shows his ability to switch up tempos. In 2016 he dropped his 11 track debut album Sorry For This which surpassed over 4 million streams on SoundCloud and over 6 million on Spotify. The album was produced by Smash David, the man behind platinum certified records from Big Sean’s “Bounce Back”, Khalid’s “Location”, and Chris Brown’s “Pills & Automobiles”. Jordan described Sorry For This as cinematic, crazy, and emotional.
“Trill Shit” off of Sorry For This, is Jordan’s biggest single to date. This hazy electronic banger is Jordan at his core narrating his explicit journey on his own terms. "Trill Shit" was chosen as the song of the month for the iHeartRadio Digital Artist Integration Program in July 2016. In the beginning of 2018 Jordan released “Cash Out” a trap-ballad where he reflects on how far he’s come in the industry.

Aside from creating music Jordan founded a record label / management company called The Wasted Youth, which is a collective of young creators: artists and producers. This includes producer SkipOnDaBeat (Kodak Black), and artist, IV. Like Jordan, his group didn’t have typical adolescent experiences too and thus the name “The Wasted Youth” became their mantra. Instead of growing up with their peers they opted to finding themselves in music.
“That shit fucks you up. It’s a mentality you live by when you make a decision like that,” said Jordan, “That’s The Wasted Youth. We’re all crazy.”

Now as a new member of Quality Control Music’s roster, he’s ready to elevate his career as an artist. QC is home to some of the biggest stars in hip-hop from Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, Stefflon Don, City Girls and more. Jordan has been championed in the media from XXL, Billboard, VIBE, UPROXX, Complex, Hypebeast, HotNewHipHop, iHeart Radio, to Revolt. As for his favorite rapper, Jordan cites Lil Wayne but is also a big fan of Lil Baby and The Weeknd.
With cosigns from Jason Derulo, Yo Gotti, QC, and more, the fourth quarter of 2018 cemented Jordan Hollywood into hip-hop. His QC debut single “LET ME FIND OUT” features Lil Baby. Jordan then followed up with his debut EP FINALLY!. FINALLY! includes features from Lil Baby and Ronny J and production from Hitmaka (Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Ty Dolla $ign), Smash David (Khalid, Big Sean) and SkipOnDaBeat (Kodak Black, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie). With the ability to effortlessly alternate between spitting freestyle bars and harmonizing catchy melodic hooks over trap beats, Jordan is in it for the long haul.
“I’ve been through hell and back chasing this music shit. I know I haven’t made it yet but I love where I’m at. I don’t gotta sleep in the studio anymore but I’m still so hungry and in savage mode to make it,” said Jordan, “All I can say is finally… we really about to take this shit over.”
