WAVY NAVY POOH

Rap up-and-comer Wavy Navy Pooh wears his heart on his sleeve with vivid and hard-hitting tracks that chronicle the harsh realities of his upbringing in one of Miami’s most dangerous districts. The 25-year old rapper credits Instagram for saving his life, where Quality Control’s P direct-messaged him asking for music, which led to his recent and prompt signing to the label. As part of the new generation of QC’s roster, a label known for scouting and breaking bright new talent, he hit the ground running with his debut album Murder Is A Major Issue, or M.I.A.M.I. The album offers an introduction to the lesser-known side of Miami, from the perspective of someone who found hip-hop to be not only a way out, but a tool for shining a much needed light on the violence that has plagued the lives of those who couldn’t. Speaking on M.I.A.M.I., Wavy Navy shares: “Hip hop inspired me because I always saw a way out for people like myself coming from nothing…I want to be a legend when it’s all said & done. I want the world to know the other side of Miami.”

More to come soon.
